The overdate on this piece is not mentioned on slab label or in KM but clear with portions of the top loop along with the angled base of the 2 showing around the first 8 in the date. Flashy piece with gold-toned fields filled with luster, some central design details a bit weak from being struck with rusty dies yet otherwise boldly struck, among the best examples known for this date. Pedigreed to the John O'Brien Collection (stated on label), with his tag.
